Were you going to physical therapy to rehab an injury and get back to the things you love, but now you’re in limbo because the PT clinic you were going to closed?  If this is you, then this is your opportunity to see how Iron Rx Physical Therapy can help you!

Spoiler Alert, there is an AMAZING offer at the end!
Due to COVID-19 mandates closing many businesses, the various travel bans placed, and social distancing there have been numerous physical therapy clinics that have decided to close their doors during this time as well.  Wait, but aren’t physical therapists essential healthcare workers and physical therapy clinics an essential business?

Yes! They most definitely are! So why have these clinics closed?

Well, the answer to that varies, but most likely they have decided to close during this difficult time for one or both of the following reasons.

#1 They can’t afford to stay open

Given everything that has been happening, physical therapy clinics have been taking a big hit to the number of people that were still coming in for their appointments. As fear and anxiety rose regarding the Coronavirus the number of no-shows and cancellations for physical therapy appointments also rose. This is understandable considering many clinic spaces are rather small and once you add all of the people between patients and therapists it can get pretty busy. That is not an environment that you want to be in during a pandemic. So, since patients stopped coming in and most physical therapy clinics can’t survive without a steady flow of patients, their hand was forced to shut their doors for the foreseeable future.

#2 They care about your health and well-being

Many physical therapy clinics took the warnings about the spread of the virus and social distancing very seriously and decided that they could not maintain those standards inside their clinic while delivering direct care for their patients, therefore they closed. Putting patient’s health and well-being over our own interests is a common trait of physical therapists. Because of this, many PT’s made the tough decision to put their patient’s health over their own business’s health and closed temporarily.

Now, here is the big question...

How has this impacted your rehabilitation or progress with your physical therapy and where do you go from here?

You most likely already had a home exercise program to work on during the course of your rehab, and hopefully your PT gave you some guidance on how to progress a few things before the clinic closed. Maybe they also give you their personal phone number to call or text with questions or concerns, that is great to have! But is that enough to keep you on track and progressing as you want to?

Do you want more than a couple band exercises and a phone number that you feel awkward using? Are you not satisfied with how you are progressing with your rehabilitation? If so, Iron Rx Physical Therapy is here to help you!
